The Age of Humanoid Robots Has Begun!

The Future Has Eyes, Arms and a Pretty Good Timing
Why humanoid robots are stepping onto the stage – and are here to stay.
It started – like so many things in the tech world – with a few YouTube videos. Robots that danced, carried packages, or gave high-fives (a bit wooden). So entertaining. So far away. But those days of just watching are over: the first humanoid robots are now appearing on real stages and in real offices – and FUTURE CANDY is right in the middle of it.
This year, we had our first humanoid robot in the office. No CGI, no trade show prototype – a real, physical model to touch, marvel at, and experience. And of course, we immediately took it to events and put it on stage. What happened? Exactly what was supposed to happen: people stopped, pulled out their phones, and couldn’t look away.
From “aww” to “what the f*?” – the robot sets off everything.**
The reactions range from curious fascination to genuine discomfort. Is it cute? Or creepy? Just a gimmick – or the beginning of something big? We say: both. Right now, these robots’ capabilities are limited. A little waving, a little walking, a few spoken lines. But every single step is a preview of what’s to come.
And what comes is no toy.

Optimus. Neo. Unitree. Booster.
The names sound like science fiction, but they represent real developments. Startups like Unitree are bringing affordable, mobile platforms to market. New models like “Booster” and “Neo” show that a new market is emerging – and it’s set to grow rapidly.
