Spatial computing with visionOS
The Apple Vision Pro looks a little like a premium pair of ski goggles. Behind the tinted front panel, two micro-OLED displays work with 23 million pixels between them; a fan cools the electronics.
The battery does not sit in the device but in an external pack connected by cable, giving around two hours of operation. 23 sensors – including IR cameras, lidar and microphones – feed the Apple R1 chip. The visionOS platform runs a three-dimensional user interface and apps such as FaceTime with 3D avatars.
