Artificial intelligence with a face
Ameca is a humanoid robot by Engineered Arts, designed as a platform for human-machine interaction. Cameras in the eyes, infrared sensors and microphones capture the surroundings, facial expressions and speech.
Modular servo motors enable smooth movement of head, arms and upper body along with expressive gestures. Its open software architecture lets Ameca be extended with new algorithms for speech recognition, facial analysis or AI; USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi allow integration into existing networks.
Use cases
Takes the stage as a telepresence speaker, transmits live talks and responds in real time with expression, gesture and interaction.
Introduces technical products at trade fairs and in showrooms, answers FAQs and collects visitor data along the way.
As an expressive AI robot, makes it tangible how human-machine interaction and artificial intelligence actually work – for education, research and science communication.
