der Zukunft.

The SUMMER ACADEMY is the one event where FUTURE CANDY is not a service provider but the host. Since 2023 we have invited people to our Hamburg headquarters once a year – for a day on which the future is not explained to you but experienced.

The format is deliberately mixed: keynotes from people who genuinely work on a topic, masterclasses to join in with, and tech stations where the devices sit on the table rather than on a slide. In between, plenty of time to talk – the "Inspirational Lunch Break" is a programme item, not a break.

In 2025 the speakers came from Heise Online, the Deutsche Bundesbank, the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, Narravero and OMR – deliberately not a panel of consultants, but practitioners from journalism, central banking, climate research and capital markets.

The Idea.

Ten future topics. One day.

Anyone wanting to learn about future technologies has the choice between trade fairs that are too big and conferences that are too expensive and too abstract. In the end you take away a few buzzwords – but no opinion.

The SUMMER ACADEMY is the counter-thesis: a manageable group, so that conversations happen. One day, because more will not fit in the calendar. And a programme that does not stop at the technology but always goes as far as the question: what does this mean for your company?

The standard we set when we invite people: afterwards you should be able to hold a conversation on every one of the topics – with an opinion of your own, not the summary of a study.

The payoff

What stuck
in the end.

Anyone who has the digital euro explained by someone from the Bundesbank and CO₂ removal by someone from the Potsdam Institute asks different questions – and gets answers that appear in no study.

The "Inspirational Lunch Break" with the tech stations is the part people talk about most afterwards. Networking does not happen in the coffee corner but at a device both people are holding for the first time.

On client projects we deliver the format that is needed. At the SUMMER ACADEMY we show how we think knowledge should be shared – and invite everyone to put that to the test.

Planning something similar?

We show you on a real use case what's possible today, from the first idea to a finished result.
