KI-Weiterbildung,
die niemanden
ausschließt.

Most AI training reaches a handful of people: the innovation unit, IT, perhaps marketing. Sparkasse Oberhessen wanted the opposite – an offer that every employee could join, regardless of department or prior knowledge.

The format for that was a webinar: no travel, no room booking, no cap on participants. Around 150 people were connected at the same time and could bring themselves to the same level in a single morning.

In content it was an AI masterclass with the character of an impulse: which tools are out there right now, what can they really do, and what does using them look like day to day? We also opened up what we are working on ourselves – as evidence that we talk about things we have built. The session was delivered by Nick Sohnemann and Kira Weisgerber, live from the FUTURE CANDY headquarters in Hamburg.

The Challenge.

How do you reach everyone at once?

With 150 listeners, every level of prior knowledge is in the room: from "never opened an AI tool" to "I use it daily". A talk trying to please everyone bores some and overwhelms others.

Our approach: stay concrete. Not explaining what a language model is, but showing what you can do with one this afternoon. Anyone already further along takes the tools with them; anyone starting out gets a picture of what everyone is talking about.

And because a webinar easily becomes a one-way street, we hung it on real projects rather than examples from the presentation library – including the points where things get stuck.

The payoff

What stuck
in the end.

AI training usually lands with innovation, IT and marketing. An open session with no cap brings advisory, back office and processing to the same level too – 150 people in one morning.

Anyone who shows what they have built themselves – including the stumbling blocks – gets asked different questions. Listening turns into asking, and asking turns into transfer back into your own organisation.

At a savings bank, the question of where the data sits comes before every tool. That is exactly why Candy Dash – developed in-house, hosted in-house – was the example that resonated most.

Breite schlägt
Tiefe – am Anfang.

A webinar does not replace a masterclass in a small group, and it is not meant to. It solves a different task: bringing everyone to the same starting point before individual areas go deeper.

That is exactly how it is intended in our education offering too – first the shared impulse, then working on the concrete topic. Anyone who wants to continue after the webinar will find the right format there, from masterclass to train-the-trainer.

For Sparkasse Oberhessen the morning was the entry point: an offer to everyone, with no pre-selection, no hurdle – and with tools you can try out the same day.
