Hands-on technology at the MyWay Conference
For The Pioneer's annual MyWay Conference in Berlin we ran a tech stand: humanoid avatars, hologram displays and smart glasses to try out, plus a stage session by Roman Weishäupl aboard the Pioneer One.
The Challenge.
How does a conference become an experience?
At a conference with a high-caliber program, a stand competes with panels, conversations and networking. Anyone who merely exhibits gets noticed in passing, and forgotten just as fast.
So the task wasn't to show technology, but to make it tangible: low-threshold enough that every guest joins in with a drink in hand, and interesting enough to spark a conversation.
On top of that: the setting. A place with character, harbor backdrop, brick hall and an editorial ship, where the technology couldn't feel like a foreign object.
The Solution.
A future you can
touch.
The MyWay Conference is the annual gathering of the Pioneer community around Gabor Steingart, business, politics and media in one place, in the middle of Berlin, with the editorial ship Pioneer One as its centerpiece.
FUTURE CANDY ran a technology stand there: instead of slides and product videos, guests could try new technologies hands-on, from the humanoid avatar WeHead to holographic displays to smart glasses and AI applications.
Plus a stage session aboard the Pioneer One: Roman Weishäupl hosted a session that put the technologies in context, what's reality today, what comes next, and what it means for companies.
At the stand
Four technologies,
all hands-on.
Curated for an audience from business, politics and media, explained by our team right at the device.
A robot head made of displays that speaks and reacts through AI, the crowd magnet at the stand and the opener for everything that followed.
Free-floating 3D visuals that work without a headset, seen live for the first time by many.
Current glasses generations to put on: how close is augmented reality to everyday use?
Concrete AI tools to try yourself instead of abstract demos, with direct context from our team.
And on stage: a session hosted by Roman Weishäupl aboard the Pioneer One.

Insights
that stick.
The WeHead drew people who would otherwise have walked past a stand. Curiosity turned into a conversation, and the conversation into the real content of the evening.
Every station was staffed by someone from our team. That's exactly what sets a tech stand apart from an exhibition: questions get answered on the spot, not in a brochure.
A brick hall, a harbor backdrop and the editorial ship as the scene: the staging turned individual devices into one coherent experience.
How we did it.
From the first idea
to a finished experience.
3 steps, how FUTURE CANDY delivers a tech stand like this.
We clarify what the stand should trigger and pick the technologies that let your audience touch the future.
Tech, stations and the stage program are produced and set up, until everything runs smoothly on site.
On event day our team runs the stations live, hosts, and makes technology tangible for the guests.
