You don't always have to board a plane to see the future: in Heilbronn, the Innovation Park Artificial Intelligence (IPAI) is becoming Europe's largest AI ecosystem, privately funded, planned for the long term and built on a decade of education work.

With our delegation we visited the IPAI Campus and its spaces: real-world labs where companies develop AI applications under real conditions, and a community of corporations, mid-sized firms and startups that is only just forming.
On the education campus, what makes the Heilbronn model special became clear: the Dieter Schwarz Foundation connects universities, the 42 coding school and research institutions into an ecosystem that trains talent before companies need it.
