Hackathon University of Münster
Nick Sohnemann visited the Research Hackathon at the University of Münster and showed students with his keynote "Fly me to the Moonshot" that the future needs big, ambitious projects.
The Challenge.
The task
we faced.
Business meets digital transformation. For companies to adapt to ever more complex and shifting conditions, taking digitalisation into account is essential.
The Solution.
Was wir daraus
gemacht haben.
During the event, participants turned theory into practice and created solutions for companies.
Research Hackathon: the goal of the hackathon was to uncover and work out new fields of research. After four interesting pitch presentations there could only be one winner. The project "AI as a teammate: A creativity trap?" convinced across the board and took both the hackathon and the 1,000 euro prize. The learnings from this project are that AI leads to better ideas when it supports individuals, but inhibits the innovative strength of ideas in group work. Keynote: in a constantly changing world, small steps are no longer enough; what matters is a vision – a MOONSHOT. But what exactly is that? In his keynote, Nick Sohnemann makes clear where the true power in innovation lies. He examines what moonshots can be for an industry and why they matter so much. Nick analyses the qualities successful moonshot makers share and how anyone can become one.
What stuck
in the end.
Through the hackathon and the expertise of the practice partners, creative approaches were created that form the basis for further research.
