Eine Keynote zum
100-jährigen Jubiläum.

EXPERTsuisse is the Swiss expert association for auditing, tax and fiduciary services. Around 700 guests came to the anniversary conference "100 years of EXPERTsuisse" at the Kongresshaus Zurich – with Federal Councillor Albert Rösti as guest of honour and the heads of KPMG and EY Switzerland on the panels.

In the middle of that programme: the keynote by Nick Sohnemann – "The future has already turned the corner!". Instead of looking back on a hundred years of association history, there was a journey ten years forward, to 2035.

The thesis: the companies that will shape tomorrow's world already exist today – many of them in Switzerland, they are just still small. Anyone who spots them today understands how Europe is changing and what role Switzerland can play in it.

The Challenge.

What does Switzerland look like in 2035?

Auditors, tax and fiduciary experts work every day with what has been: financial statements, balance sheets, figures from the past. A keynote about the future has to take this audience seriously – and still get them out of their comfort zone.

The way to do it: no abstract trend charts, but concrete Swiss companies that are still small today and will move world markets tomorrow – Corintis from Lausanne, for example, founded in 2022, whose chip cooling already works with Microsoft today.

That turned "the future arrives at some point" into a tangible picture: this is how Switzerland could feel in 2035 – and these are the companies taking it there.

The payoff

What stuck
in the end.

Anyone who wants to understand the future does not need to speculate, but to look closely: the most exciting companies of 2035 are sitting in Lausanne, Zurich or around ETH today – with single-digit headcounts.

An audience of auditors and tax experts is not won over with buzzwords, but with names, figures and examples. That is exactly why the journey through time worked – and went down very well with around 700 guests.

Anyone who has once pictured Switzerland ten years from now assesses investments, mandates and questions of young talent differently. The future has already turned the corner – the question is who turns with it.
