The Challenge.

The task
we faced.

Today many companies face the challenge of actively shaping digitalisation and motivating their employees to join in.

The Solution.

Was wir daraus
gemacht haben.

A day full of inspiration about the future and the chance to try technologies out.

To create a Digital Day with a wow effect, FUTURE CANDY was responsible for the overall concept and delivery. After two months of planning together with the event agency breakout MOMENTS and EWE, the whole FUTURE CANDY team headed to the Alte Fleischwaren Fabrik (Alte Fleiwa) in Oldenburg. After a successful set-up day, the EWE Digital Day started on 14 November at 08:30 with a welcome from our colleague and keynote speaker Roman Weishäupl, who also hosted the day. A "World Call" followed, connecting three experts from SunGrow, NIO and Tobit Software live to the venue. This gave EWE employees on site and online insights into current topics in the energy sector and smart city, and showed the advantages of hybrid formats. Roman then gave impulses with his keynote "FLY ME TO THE MOONSHOT" on how to arrive at major innovations. After plenty of inspiration, the interactive part began. In the five masterclasses – Technology, Culture, Digital Academy, Prompting and Digital Scavenger Hunt – employees developed concrete ideas for EWE's future. They solved puzzles playfully using future technologies such as the Flipper Zero, Aromajoin and Avatunnel, and tried out AI prompting. There was also a "TECH CORNER" all day where over 10 technologies could be tried, including the Tobii eye tracker, the Looking Glass, VR and AR headsets such as HoloLens and Quest Pro, robots such as the Unitree Go 1 and the GoBe telepresence robot, and the DJI Avata drone. Towards the end of the day all participants returned to the Audimax, motivated and full of innovation spirit, to watch the improv theatre group DIE SPIELER round off the day with plenty of humour. A successful day that will not be forgotten in a hurry.

The payoff

What stuck
in the end.

Away from their everyday work, participants got to know inspiring people, business models and technologies, discussed them and came to understand for themselves how important it is to help shape digitalisation.
