In recent years, another topic dominated the trends. New mobility was everywhere in the media, and EVs and PLEVs are now part of our daily lives. Now things are moving on toward AI and robotics. A topic with far more positive connotations than we often realize. Nick and Alex discuss new solution perspectives. The care crisis, skilled-labor shortages or specialized fields for which conventional staff has no capacity all demand new ways of thinking, the two experts say. And the key word in this challenge isn't "machine replaces human", but that the social aspect comes into focus and creates new value where we've clearly hit our limits in recent years.

Not displacement, but added benefit, those are the possibilities awaiting us in the future. Humans & machines in communication. Demand is rising enormously in geriatrics and elderly care in particular.

Demographic change leads to a rising number of people needing help and care, while the working-age population shrinks. This trend leads to a further shrinking labor supply in care, and the strain on the care sector grows.

We can already feel the social and economic consequences clearly today. When the "care" profession becomes ever less attractive but is in ever greater demand, this is the social hour of glory for the new assistive robots, Alex and Nick agree. The robotics expert elaborates on the applications of these new supporters.
