Haspa - Digital Hero Day: Insight into the development of VR technology

On November 14, 2024, Haspa hosted the Digital Hero Day, focusing on future-oriented entertainment and innovative technologies. FUTURE CANDY was on site with the NEX Playground and a VR museum to present the latest developments in virtual and mixed reality technologies.

  4. Added value: The interactive stations gave participants valuable insights into the progress of VR and MR technologies. At the same time, they were inspired by new application possibilities, particularly in the area of New Work.

The Digital Hero Day offered several stations that provided both entertainment and deeper insights into technological developments:

  1. NEX Playground – entertainment without controllers
    FUTURE CANDY presented an innovative type of entertainment that works without controllers and wearables.
    The interactive experience combined movement and fun to introduce participants to the world of modern technology in a playful way.
  2. VR museum – technological evolution at a glance
    The “VR Museum” station showed the development of VR hardware using nine headsets from 2015 to 2024. Infographics illustrated the milestones of the last 10 years and enabled visitors to better understand the current state of VR and MR technologies and assess future trends.
  3. Meta Quest 3 – Experience New Work
    Participants had the opportunity to test the Meta Quest 3 with accessories. A special application on the topic of “New Work” showed how several virtual screens can be operated simultaneously – a future-oriented function that revolutionizes conventional laptop working methods.

Summary and outlook

Through the Digital Hero Day, Haspa, in cooperation with FUTURE CANDY, offered a unique insight into the development of virtual and mixed reality technologies. Participants were not only inspired by innovative applications, but were also able to test the latest devices live.
