Future Technologies at the Trade Show
This year, the Data:unplugged took place once again in Münster – a trade fair dedicated to artificial intelligence. Our mission: to inspire people with future technologies.
- Time: April 2025
- Challenge: Reducing the barrier to engagement with new technologies while standing out from other exhibitors at the trade fair.
- Solution: For Sparkasse, we showcased the Holocircle – a holographic display projecting their logo. For our client Ratiodata, we presented a humanoid robot and an AI-powered avatar.
- Value: Attendees could explore these technologies away from their daily routines, form their own opinions, and discover new potential use cases.
Im Detail
Holograms attract attention – familiar from science fiction films, but still rare in everyday life. The Holocircle is an innovative 3D hologram projector that makes it possible to display any desired image floating freely in space. A visually striking technology that leaves visitors in awe.
Another highlight is the T1 robot from Booster Robotics. It excels at one ability that’s not yet standard for robots: walking – both forward and backward. It can also wave and shake hands. While these features may seem simple, they serve an important purpose: reducing apprehension about humanoid robots and clearly demonstrating the current state of robotics development.
A true crowd-puller is the AI avatar developed by WeHead, which gives ChatGPT a face – and a voice. In our case, the avatar was modeled on a staff member from the booth. It acted as a virtual AI expert, available 24/7. The great advantage of this technology lies in its human presentation: it lowers the barrier to interacting with artificial intelligence and allows visitors to experience the technology firsthand.
