About us · Hamburg · Since 2013
We dream of a
better future
and work on it.
And we don't stop working on it. FUTURE CANDY was founded because we're convinced: companies can actively shape the future if you give them the right impulses.
Hamburg. A desk. One conviction: companies don't need another consultant, they need a spark.
2014 · The first trade show of FUTURE CANDY: PREVIEW CeBIT at the Elysee Hamburg
2013, Hamburg, a desk and one observation: the world changes at full speed, most companies at walking pace. Nick Sohnemann founds FUTURE CANDY because he thinks: Enough of strategy papers no one reads.
Instead of stacks of slides, there have been keynotes that wake people up, workshops after which something actually happens, and trips that shift the horizon, all the way to China and back. We never became a classic consultancy, we lack the patience for frameworks. Our only KPI: Is anything different after us? From Hamburg, with the stubbornness of a port city, we've been striking sparks for over ten years, hoping tomorrow turns them into a fire.
Our method
The FUTURE CANDY
Innovation Loop.
Not a linear process. No one-size-fits-all recipe. Innovation is a cycle, and we support every phase with the right energy.
Widen the view. What moves the world? What changes industries? We strike the spark, through keynotes, trend briefings and experiences that open new perspectives.
Inspiration becomes ideas. Ideas become opportunities. In facilitated workshops and innovation sessions we develop concrete approaches for your company together.
Ideas need hands. We help turn concepts into real projects, with prototypes, pilots and the energy it takes to make something actually happen.
What did we learn? What works? What doesn't? Honest reflection is the start of the next loop. Innovation doesn't end, it evolves.
Why FUTURE CANDY
What makes us special.
New technologies land on our table first: we test the very newest trends ourselves, long before they go mainstream.
Experience from 11 industries, no tunnel vision, and always with concrete value: one technology, one application, one result. No abstract PowerPoint.
No vendor interests, no investors: we recommend what fits you, and the founder works on the projects himself.
Improve. Repeat.
We do before we perfect. Instead of planning for months, we build a prototype early, show it and learn from it, even when it fails. That's exactly what makes results robust.

Our own events
Once a year
we host ourselves.
Most of the time we build events for others. At the SUMMER ACADEMY we're the hosts: a day at our Hamburg headquarters, with keynotes by people who really work on their topics, hands-on masterclasses and technology to touch. Since 2023, every year at the end of August.
